Cliched as it might appear, there was a time when the Attack Robot was one of the most effective battlefield units, and not just for its formidable appearance.

Attack Robot

At a time when chainguns and visible-light optics were cheap and easy to produce, this colossal beast won an immense amount of respect in the arena.

Officials at the Skyline Industrial Robots Symposium had nicknamed the unit “Fiddler,” on account of its heavy forearms and torso.

Attack Robots used shielded pneumatic joints, a deep-pressure fission power generator, crystalline titanium armor and a standard-issue 50-caliber chain gun as a base model.

Naturally, all this heavy artillery meant the unit weighed several tons.

But the sight — and sound — of a squad of Attack Robots lumbering forward at 20 kph, joints whining and guns roaring, verbally challenging their targets … it was enough to scare almost any other army into retreat.

Attack Robots carry an Extra Attack ability, attributable to their high rate of fire and exceptional oil-lens tracking optics.

Their armor plating is sufficiently strong to qualify for a Hardness bonus as well.

In battle, an attack that can puncture its armor and deliver an end-of-round damage may be the best strategy; while their defenses are formidable for a 20-point monster, they still lack a commendable number of Hit Points.
